April Stands

It has been a hot minute hasn’t it.

So, I had to take some time a couple days to focus on studies, a couple for my well being, and that was more I scraped up my leg against desk badly enough I had to get it bandaged.

Outside of that we had a lot going on before. Going over the quick hits I pledged 100 hours of volunteer hours before the end of the campaign. Stuff like this is a marathon not a sprint. We had 76 hours as of the march 27 post, and while we did take some time to heal up, and get our energy back we did get some hours.

April is an event month for the game of tomes, which provides a space online for people to get together and write no matter the level of professionalism, socializing, and weekly meetings during events where episodes and stories are laid out for the entertainment of everyone. We show up on twitch, so you don’t have to be a Portlander to join in fact we already have a community reaching a half dozen countries and growing. We are getting our paperwork to become a non-profit starting first in the great white north because many of the founders live up there, but has already shown great result being more effective to get people to 50k words then other groups and all of it is free. Writing communities are your thing, you may want to give game of tomes a look.

Now, back to business, 76 hours plus the 14.25 hours means we have 9 hours left before that goal is hit and that is going to be done in May so we are going to reach that goal. It is also been found that my work over the past year from may to may has already reached the highest level so I will be getting a gold service award from the university for more than two hundred hours done in 12 months as of the last calculation, and for that one political hours do not count. Time with political parties volunteering won’t meet muster but we have plenty others.
